My Visit Korean (Traditional) Markets Experiences
The best way to learn about Korea's traditional culture is to experience it firsthand. As someone who love Korean cultures and traditions, I want to visit every Korean traditional markets to try Korean local foods!
--- Here are my experiences to visit Korean Traditional Markets in Seoul ---
Tongin Market (통인시장), Seoul's Traditional Market
The 80 stores that make up this market are always full of things to eat and enjoy. Using a Yeopjeon (old Korea coin) to pay for a Tongin dosirak (lunch box).
I have been visited this market and so much in love for all the food here. They are all so delicious and great! I like how I can use the Korean traditional coins buying food. It's such a great experience in Korea.
Tongin market is known for Gireum (Oil) tteok-bokki (Stir-fried Rice Cake) so be sure to try that if you can eat spicy food.
Dosirak Café Hours 11:00 - 17:00
Dosirak Café coins are available for purchase from 11:00 - 15:00 on weekdays & 11:00 - 16:00 on weekends

Namdaemun Market (남대문시장)
It first opened in 1964, is the largest traditional market in Korea with over 10,000 retailers, vendors, and wholesalers. The market, spread out over many blocks, is a dense maze of stalls, vendors, and restaurants. Nowhere else in Korea can you find such a large collection of interesting and traditional Korean items for sale in one place.
I visited the Namdaemun market at night. It is full of Korean traditional and local things to buy. It is a great place to buy souvenirs here such as keychain, pouch, clothes, etc. Local street food here were so delicious too.
