Finding My Colors and Hanbok Experience at Gyeongbokgung Palace

My result was a 'Spring Light' type! the best colors are soft, warm, and clear. I personally love wearing bright colors, so I was happy to learn that this bright, clear palette truly suits me best!
The most interesting part was learning that my worst colors are the 'Winter Deep Dark' tones. It was quite a shock because I often wear those dark colors sometimes when I go to work.
The consultant and makeup artist was incredibly observant. He even noticed that my hair wasn't naturally pitch black, but more of a dark brown. (He actually said "light brown," which I know isn't that light, but compared to my current dark dye, it was definitely lighter!) I still don't know if he saw it from my hair roots or my eyebrows, but his attention to detail was super impressive and made the whole experience feel very personalized and worthwhile.
Then came the actual makeover. He was very careful and worked in the true, flawless Korean style. He paid close attention to every detail. What impressed me most was how softly he applied my inner eyeliner. it didn't irritate my eyes at all! The table was covered with a massive array of gorgeous Korean cosmetic products, which definitely activated my inner beauty fan.
Once my makeup was perfected, we walked across the street to Hanboknam Premium for the fitting. Choosing the right Hanbok is an experience in itself! I had a vision to wear a different color this time since I wore a light minty blue/green on my last trip. I wanted to try pink. However, after seeing the options, the pink dresses were too pale for my liking, and importantly, they lacked the bold gold embroidery at the end of the skirt to ensure the Hanbok would look stunning in all my palace photos.
In the end, I chose a beautiful peach-colored skirt. Matching the top (Jeogori) to the skirt's pattern took some time to make sure the whole outfit looked right. After changing to hanbok, they helped me with the hair styling and adding those beautiful traditional hair ornaments. You also can choose a small, matching traditional handbag for your small items, and they provided a locker for your original clothes and bigger bags.
We arrived at Gyeongbokgung Palace with the perfect weather: cool, no harsh sunlight, and comfortable for walking. We had a very detailed and engaging tour about the palace's fascinating history by our guide, who was excellent and really brought the stories of the Joseon Dynasty to life. I wish we had more time at the palace!
I have to thank whoever helped me take those beautiful photos. They are great memories! Wearing the Hanbok and walking around here was truly an amazing experience. I really can’t get enough of it; which hanbok color should I choose next?

This wonderful experience was part of the A Special Travel Day with Squid Game program, supported by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO). I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to explore K-Culture in such a unique and exciting way.
